Jamie Sisley spent six years managing bands in the music industry before pursuing an MFA in screenwriting/directing at Columbia University. In addition to “Stay Awake,” he will soon be premiering “Farewell Ferris Wheel,” his first feature documentary, which won the TAA Creative Promise Award from the Tribeca Film Institute, and was selected for the 2014 Film Independent Documentary Lab in Los Angeles. His next project will be a narrative feature film based on a murder in the country music world. He lives in New York City, and loves Joni Mitchell, old TV commercials, and being left-handed.

SARAH DORMAN | Producer

With a background in feature post-production, Sarah Dorman enrolled in Columbia University’s MFA Film Program to concentrate on writing and producing. While at Columbia, she produced several short films cur- rently playing festivals, and was a fellowship recipient. Based in Los Angeles, Sarah believes well-told stories can make a difference in the world in ways both large and small. She loves R.E.M., Friday Night Lights, seltzer, and as a kid said she was ambidextrous because she couldn’t accept being a righty.

ALEJANDRO MEJIA | Cinematographer

Alejandro Jano Mejía is a Mexican-born cinematographer whose work has been featured at TriBeCa, Slamdance, Cabos, Vancouver, Rio de Janeiro and Morelia among other film festivals around the world.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, his work ranges from fashion photography and commercials for brands such as Nike and Red Bull to music videos and film. He directed episodes of the TV show Sesiones for Sony Latin American Television. He is the Co-Producer of ‘A Secret World’ by director Gabriel Mariño, which had its world premiere at the 2012 Berlin Film Festival, and his first feature as a DP, Asteroid, premiered at the 2014 Miami Film Festival.

 

TOM SVEEN | Co-Producer

Tom Sveen is a writer/director from Bismarck, North Dakota. He began his career as a sportswriter, working in the Minnesota Timberwolves PR department and on the Minneapolis Star Tribune sports desk. Since making the switch to visual storytelling, he has interned in development for Big Beach Films and assisted on David Gordon Green’s film, Prince Avalanche. He recently graduated with honors from Columbia University’s MFA film program. His short film Smut was named Faculty Honors and Student Selects at the 2014 Columbia University Film Festival and premiered at the 2014 Montreal World Film Festival. He specializes in mining drama from small moments.

 

KO-RELY PI | Co-Producer

Ko-Rely Pi is a producer based in Los Angeles. A prolific producer of both narrative and non-fiction work, she loves a good challenge within the context of a great story. Many years ago, Ko-Rely worked at Mills James Productions in Columbus, Ohio as a Production Assistant and Coordinator on local and national commercial spots, corporate training videos and a television game show. She owns and operates Mark Pi's Koko's, an innovative, healthy, Asian quick-service restaurant operating inside a prestigious children’s hospital in Columbus. Ko-Rely is currently in post-production for her first feature film, My First Kiss and the People Involved, and recently completed her MFA in Creative Producing at Columbia University.

 

KRISTIN FROST | Co-Producer

Kristin Frost is a New York City-based producer and writer, originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. She searches for extraordinary stories in everyday life. Building relationships and realizing potential are her passions. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English & Creative Writing, she worked in development and event production at both the Darden School of Business and the International Rescue Committee. She was also the director of REV, a co-working startup in NYC. Kristin was awarded a Columbia University Film Fellowship and is the Assistant Director for the 2014 and 2015 Columbia University Film Festival. She is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Creative Film Producing at Columbia University.
